Un portrait du jeune prodige serbe, Nemanja Radulovic, violoncelliste atypique de 24 ans. Installé en France depuis dix ans, après avoir fui la guerre dans son pays, il retourne aujourd'hui à Belgrade à l'occasion d'un concert événement qu'il organise pour la lutte contre le cancer. After the successful outcome of last year’s edition, the Prix Italia will return to Torino until 2011, in occasion of the 150th anniversary of the “Unification of Italy”. This celebration will offer its International guests extraordinary cultural events in a new artistic framework of extreme regal beauty.

The 62nd edition of the International Prize for radio and television will take place from the 19th to the 24th September. The Headquarters of the Rai – TV Production Centre at n. 16 Via Verdi, Radio Edifice at n. 31, and the “Arturo Toscanini” Auditorium are the venues that will host the event – and likewise in the most prestigious locations of the city, thanks to the collaboration of the Region, of the Municipality and of the Province.

Many are the novelties of this year within our Community, beginning with the membership of 4 new and primary partners: two Italian broadcasters, La 7 and Radio 24, and two new foreign countries, Mexico and Egypt.

The Prix Italia at present is made up of 90 radio and television broadcasters representing 48 countries. It continues to be at the hub of programme excellence competition and the centre for International meetings where experts and scholars participate all together from worldwide.

The topic of the 2010 edition – conceived and chaired by the Secretary General Giovanna Milella - is “Future in Preview”.

All the events will be free and open to the public.

For the first time in the history of the Prix, all the programmes in competition will be screened in a theatre, the “Teatro Gobetti” at a short walking distance from the Prix village.

The week of the Festival will be full and fruitful of appointments. In addition to the meetings, there will be a special event every evening.
